CUSTOM HEM STUDIO
Fit does not stop at the waist.
A jean can have the right rise, the right leg, the right wash and the right attitude. But if the length is wrong, the whole silhouette changes.
Too short, and the break disappears.
Too long, and the stack takes over.
Too clean, and the denim loses pressure.
Too heavy, and the shoe gets swallowed.
The hem is where the fit meets the street.
That is why Custom Hem Studio exists.
The hem controls how denim falls, stacks, breaks and moves over the shoe. It changes the stance of the whole fit.
A regular straight leg needs a different length behavior from an oversized wide leg. A slim tapered jean needs a cleaner break. A baggy relaxed fit can carry more stack. A denim short does not need hemming, but every full-length jean has a point where the shape locks.
Custom hemming is not an extra detail.
It is the final decision in the fit.
We do not treat length as a standard number.
We look at the fit, the rise, the leg shape, the opening and the way the denim should interact with your shoes.
Ryan can stay clean and straight.
Moris needs precision at the ankle.
Benji can carry relaxed movement.
Boston needs room for volume and stack.
Wyatt keeps its utility shape sharper when the break is controlled.
The goal is not just “shorter”.
The goal is the right break for the way you wear the denim.
HOW IT WORKS
Select your jeans. Choose the custom hemming option when available. Add your desired inseam or follow the size guidance before checkout.
We cut the length, finish the hem and prepare the denim so it arrives closer to your real fit from the first wear.
Use Our FIT PREDICTOR to set your preferred stance:
CROPPED, keeps the hem above the shoe for a sharper, lighter line. It shows more footwear and gives the fit a cleaner visual cut.
BREAK, lets the denim meet the shoe naturally. It is the balanced option: enough length to feel relaxed, enough control to keep the shape readable.
STACKED adds extra length so the fabric gathers over the shoe. It gives the denim more weight, volume and street pressure, especially on relaxed, baggy and oversized fits.
The right break depends on the jean, the shoe and the stance you want.
Measure first.
Cut once.
Wear better.
Select the fit and waist as usual from the product page.
Choose Default, Cropped, Break, Stacked or a custom length where available.
The pair is prepared according to the selected length before shipping.
A small alteration changes the whole silhouette: cleaner, sharper, more yours.
BEFORE WE CUT
Custom hemming changes the original length of the jean.
For this reason, hemmed products may not follow the same return conditions as standard items. Before choosing your inseam, check the fit, check your measurements and contact us if you need help.
We would rather slow down the cut than rush the wrong length.
Good denim deserves precision.
DEFAULT LENGTH
Every KLSH product page shows the default length of the jean before any custom hemming option is applied.
Use it as your starting point. The default length tells you how the denim was designed to land: Cropped, Break or Stacked. If that length already works for your stance, you do not need to change it.
Custom hemming is there when you want to adjust the inseam around your body, your shoes and the way you wear the fit.
PREPARATION TIME
A custom hemmed jean is prepared specifically for your requested length.
That means your order may take longer to process before shipping. We cut, finish and check the hem before the denim leaves our studio, so the fit arrives closer to the stance you selected.
Good denim deserves the right finish. We would rather take the extra time than rush the wrong break.
Returns
Once a jean has been custom hemmed, it has been modified to your requested inseam.
For this reason, custom hemmed jeans cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded unless the product is faulty or incorrect.
Before confirming your custom length, check the default length on the product page, review your measurements and contact us if you need help choosing the right inseam.
